What age is the PeekoraScope best for?
It's designed for curious kids aged 4–12. Younger explorers may want a little help at first, and we recommend adult supervision for the youngest scientists. Not suitable for children under 3 — it contains small parts.
Is this a real microscope or just a toy?
It's a real digital microscope with 50–1000x magnification and 8 adjustable LEDs — built into a body a child can actually hold and operate. Kids aren't pretending: leaf cells, fabric weave and the ridges on a coin are all genuinely visible.
Is it easy for young kids to use on their own?
Yes. One-touch buttons, a built-in screen and a single focus wheel mean children can begin exploring within minutes, with adult guidance where appropriate.
How long does the battery last?
Around 6 hours of normal use — comfortably an afternoon outdoors or several sessions at home. It recharges in roughly 1.5 hours over USB-C, using the cable included in the box.
Is it durable? My grandchild is not gentle.
It is lightweight and designed for everyday indoor and outdoor discovery. Like any electronic learning device, it should be used with reasonable care, kept dry and charged according to the included instructions. Damaged or faulty deliveries are covered by our support policy.
