This Privacy Policy describes how PeekoraLab collects, uses, stores, and discloses personal information when you visit peekoralab.com, contact us, place an order, submit a review, or otherwise use our services.

Throughout this policy, "PeekoraLab," "we," "us," and "our" refer to PeekoraLab, an online business operating from Ontario, Canada.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Information you give us directly:

• Name, email address, phone number
• Billing and shipping addresses
• Order history and customer-service correspondence
• Product reviews and other content you submit
• Marketing preferences

Payment information. Card details are collected and processed directly by Shopify Payments and our other payment providers. PeekoraLab does not store full payment card numbers.

Information collected automatically. When you visit our site, we and our service providers collect device and usage information including IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, time spent on pages, and interactions with our content. This is collected through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies.

Information from third parties. We may receive information from our payment processors, shipping carriers, fulfilment partners, and advertising platforms - for example, delivery status updates or aggregated advertising performance data.

• To process, fulfil, and deliver your orders
• To send order confirmations, shipping notifications, and tracking updates

COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functionality, analytics, and advertising.

Essential cookies keep your cart working, maintain your session, and secure checkout. The site cannot function without these.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site, which pages perform well, and where people encounter problems.

Advertising. We use the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API to measure the performance of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram, and to show relevant ads. This involves sharing limited information - such as a hashed version of your email address, and the fact that you viewed a product or completed a purchase - with Meta. We may use similar technologies from Google for the same purpose.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. You can opt out of Meta's advertising personalisation in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings, and out of Google Analytics using Google's browser opt-out add-on. Disabling essential cookies will prevent checkout from working.

WHO WE SHARE INFORMATION WITH

We share personal information with service providers who help us operate the business, and only to the extent needed for them to perform their function:

• Shopify - ecommerce platform, hosting, and checkout
• Payment processors - payment authorisation and fraud screening
• Fulfilment partners and warehouses - order picking and dispatch
• Shipping carriers - delivery and tracking
• Email and customer-support providers - order notifications and support
• Analytics and advertising platforms - Google and Meta, as described above

We may also disclose personal information where required by law, in response to lawful requests from authorities, to enforce our terms, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a business sale, merger, or reorganisation.

We do not sell your personal information.

INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

Our service providers, including Shopify, may store and process personal information in countries outside Canada, including the United States. Information stored in another country is subject to the laws of that country and may be accessible to its courts and law-enforcement authorities.

We take reasonable steps, including contractual protections, to ensure your information receives a comparable level of protection wherever it is processed.

HOW LONG WE KEEP INFORMATION

We retain personal information for as long as needed to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, including to meet tax, accounting, and legal obligations. Order and transaction records are generally retained for seven years to satisfy Canadian tax requirements. Marketing contact information is retained until you withdraw consent.

YOUR RIGHTS

Under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), and under provincial privacy legislation including Quebec's Law 25 where it applies to you, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
• Withdraw consent to our use of your information, subject to legal and contractual restrictions
• Request deletion of your information, subject to our retention obligations
• Request a portable copy of information you provided to us
• Make a complaint about our handling of your information

To exercise any of these rights, contact our Privacy Officer at support@peekoralab.com. We respond to requests within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or the Commission d'acces a l'information du Quebec if you are a Quebec resident.

MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS

If you have consented to marketing emails, you can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any marketing message, or by emailing support@peekoralab.com. We will continue to send transactional messages about your orders, as these are not marketing communications.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Our products are designed for children, but our store is intended for use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at support@peekoralab.com and we will delete it.

SECURITY

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) across our site and checkout, and access controls limiting who can view customer data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The revision date at the top of this page indicates when it was last updated. Material changes will be communicated in accordance with applicable law.
