The pen ships inside the box with each book, so it will not appear as a separate line in your cart.

Unscrew the water pen, fill it with plain tap water, and screw it back together. Your child brushes the tip across a page and hidden colours appear wherever the water touches — no ink, no paint, no mess.

As the page dries, the colours fade back out and the picture resets, ready to be revealed all over again. Drying usually takes a few minutes and needs nothing more than air.

There is no app, no screen and no battery involved. Setup takes about a minute the first time and nothing after that.

• Use water only. Ink, paint and markers will permanently mark the pages and cannot be reset.
• Let pages dry fully before closing the book so the reveal resets cleanly.
• Wipe spills with a dry cloth — the pages are made to be wiped clean.
• Refill as needed. The pen is refillable, so it lasts as long as the book does.
• Store flat and away from direct heat to keep pages from curling.

Supervision is recommended for younger children, particularly when filling the pen.
